David Odogu leaves AC Mailand after one year

The German junior world champion David Odogu leaves the Italian top club AC Mailand after one year. The 20-year-old defender joins FC Toulouse on loan.

VfL Wolfsburg had transferred Odogu to Mailand last August for around 7 million euros. The U17 world champion of 2023 only played three short matches in the Italian league and cup.

Odogu will play for FC Toulouse on loan for one year. The French top club belongs to the American investment fund Red Bird Capital Partners. VfL Wolfsburg is currently 16th in the Bundesliga with 29 points. The title holder Bayern Munich is 60 points ahead of them. The next match of VfL Wolfsburg is on October 24, 2026 against VfL Bochum.
