Vavro suspended: VfL Wolfsburg wants him gone

The VfL Wolfsburg wants Denis Vavro to leave the club. According to the ‚Wolfsburger Allgemeinen‘ and the ‚Aller-Zeitung‘, the club's sports director Dieter Hecking confirmed that the Slovakian has been suspended: „Trainer Tobias Strobl hat es bereits gesagt.

Why Vavro was suspended

Vavro was already not in the squad for the last test and the opening match against 1. FC Kaiserslautern. In the previous winter, the defender had hit a youth player in his homeland at a hall tournament and caused negative headlines. The VfL Wolfsburg is currently 16th in the Bundesliga, with 29 points from 34 games. The team has scored 45 goals and conceded 69 cards in the last season. The title win is 60 points behind the leaders Bayern München. The last match ended with a loss against SC Paderborn 07 (2:1). The team's recent form is 1 win, 2 draws and 2 losses (LLDDW).
