VfL Wolfsburg: Amoura-Alarm nach Rückkehr
Christian Eriksen and Mohamed Amoura have both returned to the training ground at VfL Wolfsburg. However, Amoura's return is causing some alarm within the club due to his musculoskeletal issues.
Eriksen, who recently suffered a cardiac arrest in June, has resumed training but will not be participating in matches. The future of this top star remains uncertain after his heart drama. On the other hand, Amoura, who was part of the Algerian national team at the World Cup, is back from his holiday with muscle problems.

According to sources, Amoura's issue is not a serious injury but rather 'just' musculoskeletal problems. It will take him one or two weeks before he can fully join the team training. However, the club is considering cutting him from their list due to his poor form and past incidents.
Amoura’s return comes with a long history of controversies: In April 2025, he started a fight during training, leading to a suspension for the Cologne match (0:1). Additionally, his behavior at the Africa Cup was questionable. His last season saw him scoring only eight goals in 33 league matches.
Interestingly, former boss Peter Christiansen reportedly turned down offers of over 30 million euros for Amoura a year ago. Despite this, his market value is still around 20 million euros (source: transfermarkt.de). However, it seems unlikely that he will receive such a sum now. In contrast, VfL Wolfsburg has agreed to sell defender Konstantinos Koulierakis to AS Roma for approximately 20 million euros.
